Rules: Target

Rules
The targeting rules involve analyzing statistics over a set period. The statistics for the specified period must meet the established values in the rule for the campaign to be eligible to participate in the auctions. Learn more about the data blocks when creating a target.

1. General Information

To begin, you need to assign a name to the rule and select its status. The status allows you to manage the activation or deactivation of the rule if it is already being used in the creative group of an active campaign. Choosing the time range specifies the period during which the statistics for the parameters saved below will be analyzed. After selecting the target subtype — either IAB Category or Domains — the system will prompt you to fill in an additional block with information. A single rule cannot be configured for two subtypes simultaneously.

2.1. Configuration by target subtype: Domains

In this section, you need to specify a list of domains (website names) for which you want to track statistics. This can be done in two ways:
  1. For a small number of domains: Use the first field (“Specify placement domains”). After entering a domain and pressing “Enter,” the specified domain will appear in the field on the right. You can also check and remove the domain if the entry was incorrect.
  2. For a large number of domains: For convenience, you can prepare a file with the list of domains for import into the system. In this case, the file should be in .txt or .csv format, with each domain listed on a new line. Be sure to avoid extra spaces at the end of each domain name to ensure proper file processing by the system.

2.2. Configuration by target subtype: Topics

To select the necessary topic, you can either use the search field or browse through the catalog of all categories and subcategories. The selected categories will be displayed to the right of the catalog, where you can additionally review the list and remove any incorrectly added categories.

3. Creating a Rule Condition

The condition is created in three steps: 1. Select the parameter that the condition will be based on. 2. Define the operator that corresponds to the goal. 3. Enter the quantitative value for the selected parameter
All conditions created in the rule operate on an “OR” principle – meaning the campaign will participate in the auction if at least one of the rule’s conditions is met. The number of conditions that can be created is not limited by the system.
